Be in Prayer

  • Prayer is a powerful weapon at our disposal. Be persistent in your prayers. You may not always see the results of prayers in your lifetime, but that doesn't mean there won't be results.

  • Pray alone, but also corporately. Pray with your family. Pray with your church. Pray for the Church.

  • Are we pleasing God in our lives?

  • We have power in Christ. We are not left alone or defenseless.

  • Be thankful in your prayers.

  • As followers of Christ, we inherit His light. We are filled with His Spirit. God's grace has qualifies us, enables us, transforms us, and protects us.

  • Who can you start praying for?

Colossians 1:9-14

For this reason also, since the day we heard this, we haven’t stopped praying for you. We are asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding,[d] 10 so that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and growing in the knowledge of God, 11 being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, so that you may have great endurance and patience, joyfully 12 giving thanks to the Father, who has enabled you[e] to share in the saints’ inheritance in the light. 13 He has rescued us from the domain of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son he loves. 14 In him we have redemption,[f] the forgiveness of sins.

Luke 18:1

Now he told them a parable on the need for them to pray always and not give up.
