Making Faith Real

-
Fear prevents us from being real in our faith
-
We need to be honest - to each other, to ourselves and to God
-
Faith is who we are, it is what we do
-
Align ourselves to the mirror of God's word

Wisdom - There are two types of wisdom

-
Wisdom from below
-
Bitter envy and selfish ambition
-
It is earthly, unspiritual and demonic
-
-
Wisdom from above
-
Pure, peace-loving, gentle, compliant, full of mercy, good fruits, unwavering, without pretense
-
Knowledge is critical to our relationship with God, but it is not wisdom.
-
Wisdom is understanding how to use knowledge.

Main Verse:

James 3:13-18

Who among you is wise and understanding? By his good conduct he should show that his works are done in the gentleness that comes from wisdom. 14 But if you have bitter envy and selfish ambition in your heart, don’t boast and deny the truth. 15 Such wisdom does not come down from above but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. 16 For where there is envy and selfish ambition, there is disorder and every evil practice. 17 But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace-loving, gentle, compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without pretense.18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who cultivate peace.
