Who is Satan?

1. A sinner, 1 John 3:8, he was in the beginning, he tricked man kind into sinning the first sin.

2. The devil is real, and is your enemy, 1 Peter 5:8 his one purpose is to devour you.

3. Many names, Rev 12:7-9, the dragon, ancient serpent, the devil, Satan.

• Characteristics -John 8:44, he is a liar. -Rev 12:10. He is an accuser. -2 Cor 11:3, he is a deceiver.

• What can we do? James 4:7- submit to God, resist the devil. Romans 16:20, know that God has the devil beat already.

• Ephesians 6:11, you have to put on the FULL armor of God, in order to face the devil and be successful.

1 John 3:8

 The one who commits sin is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God was revealed for this purpose: to destroy the devil’s works.

1 Peter 5:8

Be sober-minded, be alert. Your adversary the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion, looking for anyone he can devour.

Revelation 12:7-9

Then war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon. The dragon and his angels also fought, 8 but he could not prevail, and there was no place for them in heaven any longer. 9 So the great dragon was thrown out—the ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the one who deceives the whole world. He was thrown to earth, and his angels with him.

John 8:44

 You are of your father the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he tells a lie, he speaks from his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies.

Revelation 12:10

Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say,

The salvation and the power
and the kingdom of our God
and the authority of his Christ
have now come,
because the accuser of our brothers and sisters,
who accuses them
before our God day and night,
has been thrown down.

2 Corinthians 11:3

 But I fear that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your minds may be seduced from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ.

Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Romans 16:20

 The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.

Put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the schemes of the devil.
